Once purchased, both the database and program are emailed as a zip file.  Follow these directions to install and configure Greeting Card Pro™.

Install Database

1. The Greeting Card Pro™ database is emailed as script file.   Follow these directions to create the database.

2. Now add a user for this new database.  http://www.greetingcardpro.com/support2/SQLuser.asp
3. Now setup and ODBC connection to the database.

Install Program

1. Create a Virtual Directory off of your main web site.  This directory will house the Greeting Card Pro™ software so name  it "greetingcardpro".  For example, if your domain name is http://www.yourdomain.com, you will create a directory called http://www.yourdomain.com/greetingcardpro
2. Extract Greeting Card Pro™ into this directory.  Greeting Card Pro™ includes several sub-directories.  These include images, zones and help.   You must maintain this directory structure and include the sub-directories.   DO NOT PLACE A COPY OF OUR SELF-EXTRACTING FILE ANYWHERE ON YOUR WEB SITE.
3. Set the permissions for the newly created greetingcardpro directory to allow files to be browsed and allow scripts to be run. 
4. Update the db.asp (dbconnect.asp in version 1) script to reflect your database connection.
5. Open the application in your browser (http://www.yourdomain.com/greetingcardpro/admin/) and set the preferences and change the administrative name and password.  The username and password are currently set to Admin1/Admin1.  DO NOT use "admin" for neither the username nor the password.  This switches the program into demo mode and will not allow you to make changes to the database.
6. Now proceed to the getting started guide available from the Greeting Card Pro™ Help menu and be sure to update your preferences to reflect your particular server settings.

Install StarterPics (If you would like to import the 450 StarterPics)

1. Open starterpics.asp in your browser by pointing your browser to http://www.yourdomain.com/greetingcardpro/starterpics.asp
2. Execute this script by clicking the button that states
3. Delete the script called starterpics.asp so it is never again executed.
4. Congratulations, you now how 450 starter pictures.
